18 Affirmations To Release What's No Longer Serving You

Idk if I’m writing this for you or for me, but a little self-affirmation never hurt nobody… right?

Like many others, I’ve had a touch-and-go experience with putting daily affirmations into practice. What I’ve learned is that there’s not one specific way that works for everyone, you have to make the practice your own. However, once you have an established set of statements that feel good to you and a digestible way to remind yourself of them daily, you’ll find that they become the substance of your character and serve as guideposts to lead you through all the grey spaces in life going forward.

The following are not meant for you to copy/paste. These affirmations are simply a jumping point for you to tweak and adjust according to your truth.

Release what isn’t serving you with (some variation of) these affirmations:

  1. I’m ready to accept I have to move on
  2. I am ready to put my past behind me
  3. I give myself permission to let go of relationships that are no longer serving me, growing me, or making me happy.
  4. I can let go of any emotion I want to
  5. I am stronger than my anxiety
  6. I will let go of stagnancy so I can make room for growth
  7. I will let go of the things I cannot control
  8. When I forgive myself, it becomes easier to forgive others
  9. I allow myself to leave this version of myself in the past
  10. I am thankful for who I was, who I am, and who I am becoming
  11. I am more than my current circumstances.
  12. I accept and welcome change
  13. I know fulfillment will come when I let go of my expectations
  14. I use my mistakes as stepping stones
  15. I control my thoughts and process
  16. I improve the quality of my life by improving the quality of my thoughts
  17. I give myself permission to let go.
  18. Today is the beginning of whatever I want.

Remember to always customize your affirmations. Wherever you get your ideas from, always take what works and leave what doesn’t.
